拆卸

  1. Raise and support vehicle
  2. Open hood
    注
    Press "Open" button on touchscreen to release latch, Lift lid manually
  3. Remove rear apron
    注
    12x clips, Only store rear apron visible face upwards
  4. Remove cabin intake upper duct assembly
    注
    3x clips, Some configurations may come with 4x clips
  5. Remove closeout panel from frunk assembly
    注
    4x clips, 1x connector, Frunk safety switch, 3x guide tabs, Grab closeout panel from bottom then pull it upward to release clips, Disconnect switch
  6. Remove bolts securing frunk assembly
    注
    7x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Lift up RBN covers to access upper fasteners, Newer vehicles may not be equipped with covers
  7. Remove frunk assembly from vehicle
    注
    12x clips, Replace any clips if broken or missing, Number of clips may vary on older vehicles
  8. Remove RH wiper arm nut cover
    注
    1x cover
  9. Disconnect washer hose from RH wiper arm
    注
    2x clips, 1x hose, Disconnect Y-tube fitting and release washer hose clips
  10. Remove nut securing RH wiper arm to wiper module
    注
    1x nut, 15mm, 25 Nm
  11. Remove RH wiper arm and hose assembly from vehicle
  12. Remove LH wiper arm nut cover
    注
    1x cover
  13. Disconnect washer hose from LH wiper arm
    注
    2x clips, 1x hose, Disconnect Y-tube fitting and release washer hose clips
  14. Remove nut securing LH wiper arm to wiper module
    注
    1x nut, 15mm, 25 Nm
  15. Remove LH wiper arm and hose assembly from vehicle
  16. Remove LH shock tower cover
    注
    2x push clips
  17. Remove RH shock tower cover
    注
    2x push clips
  18. Release cowl screen from windshield and remove from vehicle
    注
    2x push clips, 6x clips
  19. Remove fresh air intake assembly
    注
    2x studs, Maneuver between cowl and frunk
  20. Remove the bolts securing wiper module
    注
    3x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm
  21. Disconnect wiper module harness
    注
    1x connector, Do NOT place limbs within the linkage movement area as wiper arms will automatically transition to parking mode
  22. Remove wiper module from vehicle
  23. Release harness clip from LH side of washer tank inlet
    注
    1x clip
  24. Remove LH front wheel center cap
    注
    1x cap
  25. Loosen LH front wheel
    注
    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm
  26. Raise vehicle partially and lower lift onto locks
    注
    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
  27. Remove LH front wheel
    注
    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm
  28. Partially remove LH front wheel liner
    注
    6x clips, 1x bolt, 10mm, 5 Nm, Newer vehicles may be equipped with 2x push clips securing lower portion of liner to body
  29. Remove lower bolt securing washer tank to vehicle
    注
    1x bolt, 10mm, 3 Nm
  30. Partially install LH front wheel liner
    注
    2x clips, Partially install LH front wheel liner, Wheel liner will be removed again later, Install 2 clips to secure LH front wheel liner
  31. Install LH front wheel
    注
    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool, Torque at later step
  32. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground
    注
    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
  33. Remove upper bolt securing washer tank to vehicle
    注
    1x bolt, 10mm, 3 Nm
  34. Disconnect washer pump and level sensor connectors
    注
    2x connectors
  35. Remove washer tank from vehicle
    注
    2x connectors，Keep washer tank upright to keep contents from spilling
  36. Remove vehicle from lift
    注
    Recommend assistance to push the vehicle backward, Note this vehicle can only be safely pushed for a very short distance and at very slow speed
  37. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3.0
    注
    Vehicle connection is integrated into drivers footwell cover, Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to the vehicle, https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, Select connection status icon at top right corner, and select connect locally (icon will turn green when vehicle is connected)If RJ45 ethernet diagnostic connector present connect directly from laptop using an RJ45 Ethernet cable
  38. Enter EPB Service Mode through toolbox 3

  41. Remove laptop from vehicle

  42. Push vehicle away from lift

  43. Open all four doors

    If vehicle is being powered down, Latch rear doors to prevent accidental closure
  44. Lower all four windows
  45. Move LH front seat forward
  46. Remove console lower rear panel

    5x clips, Insert the plastic trim tool with a 90 degree bend at the bottom of the cover and pull straight out to release
  47. Remove LH rear exterior bolt from center console
    注
    1x bolt, 10mm, 7 Nm
  48. Move LH front seat backward
  49. Remove LH front floor mat
  50. Remove LH console side panel carpet
    注
    12x clips, Use trim tool starting at rear edge to release upper clips, then pull bottom to release remaining clips
  51. Remove LH front exterior hardware from center console
    注
    2x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm
  52. Move RH front seat forward
  53. Remove RH rear exterior bolt from center console
    注
    1x bolt, 10mm, 7 Nm
  54. Move RH front seat backward and seat back downward
  55. Remove RH front floor mat
  56. Remove RH console side panel carpet
    注
    12x clips, Use trim tool starting at rear edge to release upper clips, Pull bottom to release remaining clips
  57. Remove RH front exterior hardware from center console
    注
    2x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm
  58. Power off vehicle from center display
    注
    Via Controls > Safety > Power Off, Select Power Off button at warning dialogue box
  59. Disconnect 12V negative terminal
    注
    1x nut, 10mm, 6 Nm, Ensure vehicle is in park, climate control system is off, and vehicle is not charging before disconnecting 12V
  60. Disconnect first responder loop
    注
    1x connector, Release locking tab
  61. Disconnect harness from rear of center console
    注
    1x connector
  62. Disconnect USB harness at right front of center console
    注
    1x USB connector
  63. Remove center console from vehicle
    注
    Recommend assistance, Tilt rear of console upward, pull assembly towards rear of vehicle, then tilt front of console upward and remove through passenger side
  64. Remove LH IP end cap
    注
    3x clips
  65. Remove LH mid A-pillar assembly
    注
    1x clip, 1x tab, Release the upper clip then pull mid A-pillar upward to remove
  66. Remove LH air wave bezel cap from main decor assembly
    注
    2x clips, Newer vehicles are equipped with solid bezel.
  67. Remove LH upper A-pillar trim
    注
    3x clips, Pull inside of the upper portion of upper A-pillar, Remove 3x tether hooks by twisting and pulling away from housing, Then pull upper A-pillar upward to remove
  68. Remove clip for LH lower A-pillar trim
    注
    1x push clip
  69. Remove LH lower A-pillar trim
    注
    2x clips, 3 guide tabs, Pull rear of lower A-pillar upward to release clip then pull rearward to release front tabs from carpet
  70. Remove screw and clips securing LH footwell cover
    注
    2x push clips, 1x screw, T20, 2.5 Nm
  71. Remove connectors from LH footwell cover and remove from vehicle
    注
    3x tabs, 1x Ethernet connector, 1x puddle light connector, APAC specific vehicles have an additional OBDII connector that will have to be disconnected
  72. Remove fasteners securing driver knee air bag to vehicle
    注
    1x push clip, 2x screws, T20, 2 Nm, 4x patch bolts, T30, 8 Nm, Newer vehicles have 4x patch bolts, E10, Discard after removal, Support the knee air bag while lowering, The connector / harness length is very short
  73. Disconnect the driver knee air bag and remove from vehicle

    1x connector, Release locking tabs, Then release squib from air bag, Support air bag while disconnecting, Connector release may vary
  74. Remove the LH footwell duct from HVAC module

    1x push clip
  75. Remove RH IP end cap
    注
    3x clips
  76. Remove RH mid A-pillar assembly
    注
    1x clip, 1x tab, Release upper clip then pull mid A-pillar upward to remove from vehicle
  77. Remove RH air wave bezel cap from main decor assembly

  78. Remove RH upper A-pillar trim

  81. Release RH footwell assembly from IP

  82. Remove RH footwell assembly

  83. Remove bolts securing passenger knee air bag onto vehicle
    注
    4x patch bolts, T30, 8 Nm, Discard after removal, 2x screws, T20, 2 Nm, 1x push clip, Newer vehicles have 4x E10 patch bolts
  84. Remove passenger knee air bag from vehicle
    注
    1x connector, Release locking tab, Connector release may vary
  85. Remove main decor assembly
    注
    15x clips, Entire decor does not need to come off for glove box removal, If you lift RH side of decor then you will have access to 3x torx screws securing top of glove box, Replace securing clips as needed
  86. Disconnect glove box USB cable from car computer
    注
    1x connector, Depress latch on top of USB cable to release internal latches, then release from car computer
  87. Remove screws securing glove box assembly to IP carrier
    注
    6x screws, T20, 2.3 Nm
  88. Remove glove box from IP carrier
    注
    3x clips
  89. Disconnect glove box assembly connectors
    注
    3x electrical connectors
  90. Remove passenger footwell air duct
    注
    1x push clip
  91. Remove RH IP air wave duct
    注
    2x push clips
  92. Disconnect RH upper duct thermistor from RH IP air wave duct
    注
    1x connector
  93. Release driver air bag assembly away from steering wheel
    注
    2x spring clips, 3x datums, Press the spring simultaneously from two access holes to release, Access holes located at 4 and 8 o’clock position, Do not insert tool too far as air bag connector could be damaged
  94. Remove driver air bag assembly

  95. Disconnect steering wheel
    注
    1x connector
  96. Remove bolt securing steering wheel to steering column
    注
    1x patch bolt, 10mm hex, 80 Nm, Discard after removal, Counter hold the steering wheel when breaking bolt loose
  97. Remove steering wheel from steering column
  98. Pull upward to release steering column upper shroud from lower shroud
    注
    4x clips
  99. Remove upper screws securing lower shroud to steering column
    注
    2x screws, T20, 1.5 Nm
  100. Remove lower screw securing lower shroud to steering column
    注
    1x screw, T20, 1.5 Nm
  101. Remove lower shroud from steering column
  102. Remove SCCM from steering column
    注
    1x bolt, 5mm allen, 9 Nm
  103. Disconnect steering column control module (SCCM) assembly connector
    注
    1x connector, Remove retaining clip on the connector, release connector, then remove the remaining broken clip from connector, Discard retaining clip after removal, Originally installed clip is black, Replacement clip is orange
  104. Remove SCCM from steering column
    注
    1x bolt, 5mm allen, 9 Nm
  105. Release IP service panel from IP and disconnect temperature sensor connector
    注
    4x clips, 4x tabs, 1x connector
  106. Remove bolts securing center display to IP carrier
    注
    Vehicle may be equipped with either: 2x patch bolts, T30, 12 Nm or 2x patch bolts, 10mm, 16 Nm, Discard after removal, Slide towards rear of vehicle to remove
  107. Remove bolts securing housing neck to center display and slide away from display

  108. Remove retaining clip from display connector

  114. Remove IP brow finisher from vehicle

    16x clips, Need to lift top pad up slightly to insert trim tool and release clips, Then slide IP brow finisher towards rear of vehicle
  115. Pull RH side of RH air duct out and release from IP

  116. Disconnect harness connector from RH air duct and remove duct

  117. Pull LH side of LH air duct out and release from IP

  118. Disconnect harness connector from LH air duct and remove duct

  119. Release clips securing defroster grill

  120. Pivot rear edge of defroster grill up and release tabs from IP

  128. Remove screws securing IP carrier to cross car beam on lower LH side

  129. Remove screw securing IP carrier to cross car beam on upper LH side

  130. Remove screws securing IP carrier to cross car beam at lower center

  137. Remove headliner harness clips on LH lower a-pillar

  138. Disconnect the headliner harness connector from LH lower a-pillar
    注
    1x connector
  139. Disconnect the dash connector from the left body controller
    注
    1x connector, Release locking tab and gently pull down to release connector
  140. Disconnect the HVAC connector from the left body controller
    注
    1x connector
  141. Disconnect IP harness connector from electronic steering column
    注
    1x connector
  142. Release the IP harness clip located on the blower motor assembly
    注
    1x harness clip
  143. Disconnect blower motor connector
    注
    1x connector
  144. Release clip securing center speaker harness to HVAC assembly

  145. Remove LH center display bracket
    注
    2x bolts, T30, 12 Nm
  146. Remove RH center display bracket

    2x bolts, T30, 12 Nm
  147. Remove bleeder duct adapter from HVAC assembly
    注
    4x clips
  148. Remove nuts securing steering column to cross car beam and carefully lower steering column
    注
    4x nuts, 13mm, 15 Nm
  149. Remove bolts securing cross car beam to LH side of bulkhead
    注
    2x bolts, 13mm, 25 Nm
  150. Remove bolt securing LH cross car beam bracket to cross beam
    注
    1x bolt, 13mm, 25 Nm
  151. Remove the nut securing the LH cross car beam bracket to body
    注
    1x nut, 13mm, 25 Nm
  152. Remove LH cross car beam bracket from vehicle
  153. Remove clip securing LH front main carpet to cross car beam

    1x clips
  154. Remove bolt securing RH cross car beam bracket to cross beam
    注
    1x bolt, 13mm, 25 Nm
  155. Remove nut securing RH cross car beam bracket to body
    注
    1x nut, 13mm, 25 Nm
  156. Remove the RH cross car beam bracket from vehicle
  157. Remove clip securing RH front main carpet to cross car beam

  158. Remove bolts securing the cross car beam to HVAC assembly

    4x bolts, 10mm, 5.5 Nm
  159. Remove bolt securing the cross car beam to HVAC assembly

  160. Loosen bolt securing cross car beam to upper cowl
    注
    1x bolt, 13mm, 25 Nm
  161. Remove the bolts securing the LH cross car beam to body
    注
    2x bolts, 15mm, 29 Nm
  162. Partially remove bolts securing RH cross car beam to body
    注
    2x bolts, 15mm, 29 Nm, Leave a few threads of RH cross car beam bolts installed inside body of vehicle, This will avoid cross car beam from falling
  163. Disconnect LH bleed actuator
    注
    1x connector
  164. Partially remove LH side of cross car beam
    注
    Recommend assistance, Use caution not to damage the interior
  165. Remove bolts securing LH bleed actuator to HVAC assembly
    注
    2x bolts, 6mm, 2.3 Nm
  166. Remove LH bleed actuator from HVAC assembly

安装

  1. Position LH bleed actuator to HVAC assembly for installation
    注
    Align guide and push LH bleed actuator toward HVAC assembly
  2. Install bolts securing LH bleed actuator to HVAC assembly
    注
    2x bolts, 6mm, 2.3 Nm
  3. Install cross car beam into position for installation
  4. Connect LH bleed actuator
    注
    1x connector,
  5. Loosely install bolts securing LH cross car beam to body
    注
    2x bolts, 15mm, 29 Nm, Torque at later step
  6. Loosely install bolt securing cross car beam to upper cowl
    注
    1x bolt, 13mm, 25 Nm
  7. Loosely install bolt securing cross car beam to HVAC assembly
    注
    1x bolt, 10mm, 5.5 Nm, Torque at later step
  8. Loosely install bolts securing cross car beam to HVAC assembly
    注
    4x bolts, 10mm, 5.5 Nm, Torque at later step
  9. Position RH cross car beam bracket to vehicle for installation
  10. Loosely install the nut securing the RH cross car beam bracket to body

  12. Position LH cross car beam bracket to vehicle for installation

  30. Install the RH center display bracket

  31. Install the LH center display bracket

  32. Install clip securing center speaker harness to HVAC assembly

    1x clip
  33. Connect blower motor connector
    注
    1x connector
  34. Install blower motor harness clip to HVAC assembly
    注
    1x clip
  35. Connect IP harness connector to electronic steering column
    注
    1x connector
  36. Connect the HVAC connector to the left body controller
    注
    1x connector
  37. Connect the dash connector to the left body controller
    注
    1x connector, Fully seat connector and pull release tab into locking position
  38. Install headliner harness clips to lower a-pillar
    注
    2x clips
  39. Connect headliner harness connector
    注
    1x connector
  40. Install driver air wave duct into HVAC assembly
  41. Connect LH upper duct thermistor to driver air wave duct
    注
    1x connector
  42. Install screws securing driver air wave duct to cross car beam
    注

  98. Install connectors to LH footwell cover and position for installation, securing front tabs to driver air bag assembly

  100. Install RH upper A-pillar trim

  144. Install LH front wheel

  145. Lower vehicle until tires are touching ground

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
  146. Torque LH front wheel

  147. Install LH front wheel center cap

    1x cap, Verify emblem is aligned with valve stem
  148. Install wiper module to vehicle
  149. Connect wiper module connector

  150. Install the bolts securing wiper module

  151. Install fresh air intake assembly

  152. Install cowl screen assembly

  153. Install RH shock tower cover

  155. Install LH wiper arm and hose assembly onto vehicle

    Washer hose shall be routed over the arm pivot joint, not under
  156. Install nut securing LH wiper arm to wiper module

    1x nut, 15mm, 25 Nm, Make sure wiper tip is aligned between two indicators at windshield
  157. Connect washer hose from LH wiper arm to Y-tube fitting and secure washer hose clips

  158. Install LH wiper arm nut cover

    1x cover
  159. Install RH wiper arm and hose assembly onto vehicle
  160. Install nut securing RH wiper arm to wiper module

    1x nut, 15mm, 25 Nm, Make sure wiper tip is aligned between two indicators at corner of windshield
  161. Connect washer hose from RH wiper arm

    2x clips, 1x hose, Connect to Y-tube fitting and secure washer hose clips

  163. Install frunk assembly to vehicle

    12x clips, Make sure frunk assembly is fully seated onto clips, Number of clips may vary on older vehicles. Ensure A/C compressor HVIL harness is not pinched between frunk assembly and thermal beam
  164. Install bolts securing frunk assembly

    7x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Lower RBN covers after installing upper fasteners, Newer vehicles may not be equipped with covers
  165. Install frunk close out panel
    注
    4x clips, 1x connector, Frunk safety switch, 3x guide tabs, Align 3x tabs then push downward to secure clips
  166. Install cabin intake upper duct assembly
    注
    3x clips, Some configurations may come with 4x clips
  167. Install rear apron
    注
    12x clips
  168. Close hood
  169. Verify operation of windshield washers and wipers
  170. Close all four doors
    注
    Unlatch rear doors before closing
  171. Raise all windows
  172. Remove vehicle from lift

    Lower rack arms fully and remove from under vehicle
