Shell - Seat Back - 2nd Row - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH 2nd row seat headrest frame. See Frame - Headrest - 2nd Row - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat back heat pad connector.
  3. Release the hooks (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat sensor harness to the back shell.
  4. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat back recliner motor connector.
  5. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat blower connector.
  6. Release the clips (x2) and hook that attach the LH 2nd row seat harness to the seat back shell.
  7. Release the clips (x2) and hooks (x4) that attach the LH 2nd row seat back shell and cover assembly to the seat frame.
  8. Release the retainers (x23), hog rings (x5) and connector retainer (x1) that attach the LH 2nd row seat back shell and seat cover, and separate the shell from the seat cover.
    Note
    Gently pry the black tab at the back of connector to release the connector.
    Note
    Use a needle nose pliers to release the hog rings. Replace any damaged hog rings.

Install

  1. Install the retainers (x23), hog rings (x5) and connector retainer (x1) that attach the LH 2nd row seat back shell and seat cover.
    Note
    Make sure that the back shell and cover are seated properly.
    Note
    Use a needle nose pliers to release the hog rings. Replace any damaged hog rings.
  2. Install the clips (x2) and hooks (x4) that attach the LH 2nd row seat back shell and cover assembly to the seat frame.
  3. Install the clips (x2) and hook that attach the LH 2nd row seat harness to the seat back shell.
  4. Connect the LH 2nd row seat blower connector.
  5. Connect the LH 2nd row seat back recliner motor connector.
  6. Install the hooks (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat sensor harness to the back shell.
  7. Connect the LH 2nd row seat back heat pad connector.
  8. Install the LH 2nd row seat headrest frame. See Frame - Headrest - 2nd Row - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
