Side Panel - Rear - LH - Center Console (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open all doors and lower all windows.
  2. Remove the center console rear end panel. See Air Vent Cover - Rear - Center Console (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install).
  3. Move both front seats backward, and tilt their seatbacks backward.
  4. Release the clips (x12), the tabs (x12) and the guides (x2) to remove the center console U-panel.
    Note
    The center console is out of vehicle in the image for demonstration purpose only.
    Note
    Release the rear section of both sides first, and then work forward. Release the front section at last.
    Note
    Move the seatbelt buckle aside as needed. Make sure the seatbacks are tilted back.

Install

  1. Secure the clips (x12), the tabs (x12) and the guides (x2) to install the center console U-panel.

    The center console is out of vehicle in the image for demonstration purpose only.
    Note
    Move the seatbelt buckle aside as needed. Make sure the seatbacks are tilted back.
    Note
    Position the front and sides, and then push the front and sides rearward. Secure the sides from the front section and then work rearward.
  2. Move both front seats to original position.
  3. Install the center console rear end panel. See Air Vent Cover - Rear - Center Console (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install).
  4. Raise all windows and close all doors.
