Trim Assembly - B-Pillar - Upper - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace)

Equipment:
  • 1133787-00-A - KEY, SEAT BELT RELEASE, MODEL 3

Remove

  1. Move the LH front seat forward.
  2. Insert the seat belt release tool (1133787-00-A) into the bottom of the seatbelt pretensioner coupling to release the seatbelt from the pretensioner.
  3. Remove the LH lower B-pillar trim. See Trim - B-Pillar - Lower - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  4. Release the clip that attaches the LH B-pillar lower air duct to the body.
  5. Release the clips (x5) that attach the LH upper B-pillar trim assembly to the vehicle, and then remove the trim.
    Note
    Pull the bottom of the upper B-pillar inwards, and then pull the top to release the remaining clips. Slide the seat belt through the hole.

Install

  1. Slide the seat belt through the hole, then connect the air vent and align location pins (x2) to the slots on the body, and then secure the clips (x5) that attach the LH upper B-pillar trim assembly to the vehicle.
  2. Install the clip that attaches the LH B-pillar lower air duct to the body.
  3. Install the LH lower B-pillar trim. See Trim - B-Pillar - Lower - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install the LH front seatbelt pretensioner coupling onto the LH front seat pretensioner.
    Note
    Perform a pull-push-pull test to verify the pretensioner and coupling are fully seated.
  5. Move the LH front seat to original position.
