1st Row Seat Track Bridge (Model Y L) (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

 Replace 1660192-00-A

Remove

  1. Remove the driver seat assembly. See 1st Row Seat- LH (Remove and Install).
  2. Rotate the seat to gain access to the underside of the seat cushion frame.
    Note
    Protect the seat cushion from damage.
  3. Disconnect the track motor electrical connector.
  4. With assistance, remove the harness clips (x3) from the seat track motor bridge assembly.
  5. Remove and discard the outboard bolts (x2) that attach the seat track to the seat cushion frame.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T50 socket
  6. With assistance, release the outboard seat track from the LH front seat track motor bridge assembly.
    Note
    Pry up on the bridge track motor tab, and then slide the outboard seat track away to released.
  7. With assistance, release the track motor bridge from the inboard seat track.
    Note
    Pry up on the track motor bridge tab, and slide the track motor bridge away from the inboard track.

Install

  1. With assistance, install the LH front seat track motor bridge assembly to the inboard seat track.
    Note
    The track motor cable is keyed square and must be aligned with the inboard track. Turn the cable by hand to align as needed. Slide the track motor bridge into the inboard track till it is fully and securely seated.
  2. With assistance, install the outboard seat track to the LH front seat track motor bridge assembly.
    Note
    The track motor cable is keyed square and must be aligned with the inboard track. Turn the cable by hand to align as needed. Slide the track motor bridge into the inboard track till it is fully and securely seated.
  3. Connect the track motor electrical connector.
  4. With assistance, install the harness clips (x3) to the LH front seat track motor bridge assembly.
  5. Install new outboard bolts (x2) (1660192-00-A) that attach the seat track to the seat cushion frame.
    38 Nm (28.0 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T50 socket
  6. Install the driver seat assembly. See 1st Row Seat- LH (Remove and Install).
  7. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  8. Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes): PROC_VCLEFT_SEAT-CALIBRATEvia Service Mode:Low Voltage ➜ Seats ➜ Calibrate Seatvia Toolbox:(link)
  9. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  10. Raise the LH windows and close the LH doors.
