Door Trim - Rear - RH (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the LH rear door and lower the LH rear window.
  2. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH rear door trim panel to the door.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  3. Position an inflatable air bag in the gap between the door trim and the door.
  4. Inflate the airbag to release the clips (x10) that attach the door trim panel to the door from bottom up.
  5. Disconnect the LH rear door connectors (x3), release the clips (x2) that attach the electrical harness to the trim, and then remove the panel from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Connect the LH rear door connectors (x3), and then install the clips (x2) that attach the electrical harness to the trim.
  2. Slide the top portion of the door trim into the door seal, and then swing the bottom of the trim into place.
    Note
    Make sure that all clips (x10) are properly seated. Replace any missing or damaged clips.
    Note
    Make sure that the trim panel fits tightly, and that there are no gaps from misaligned or bent clips.
  3. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the LH rear door trim panel to the door.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  4. Raise the LH rear window and close the LH rear door.
