Harness - Front End Module (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Remove the HEPA filter or cowl assembly. See HEPA Filter Assembly (Remove and Replace) or Cowl Assembly (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install).
  2. Disconnect the LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
  3. Disconnect the hood latch actuator connector.
  4. Disconnect the hood latch connector.
  5. Disconnect the active grille shutter actuator electrical connector.
    CAUTION
    Do not push down on the red tab. Pull the red tab to release the connector lock.
  6. Disconnect the LH and RH front end carrier harness connectors (x2).
  7. Disconnect the LH and RH accelerometer sensor connectors (x2).
  8. Remove the ambient air temperature sensor connector. See Sensor - Ambient Air Temperature - Heating/Cooling Circuit (Remove and Replace).
  9. Release the front end carrier harness clips (x6) and remove the harness.

Install

  1. Position the harness into the vehicle and secure the harness clips (x6) to the front end carrier.
  2. Install the ambient air temperature sensor connector. See Sensor - Ambient Air Temperature - Heating/Cooling Circuit (Remove and Replace).
  3. Connect the RH and LH accelerometer sensor connectors (x2).
  4. Connect the LH and RH front end carrier harness connectors (x2).
  5. Connect the active grille shutter actuator electrical connector.
  6. Connect the hood latch connector.
  7. Connect the hood latch actuator connector.
  8. Connect the LV battery. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
  9. Install the HEPA filter or cowl assembly. See HEPA Filter Assembly (Remove and Replace) or Cowl Assembly (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install).
