Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open all four doors.
  2. Lower all four windows.
  3. Move LH front seat forward.
  4. Move RH front seat forward.
  5. Position 60 seat into easy entry mode.
  6. Partially remove lower portion of LH rear door seal.
  7. Remove LH lower C-pillar trim.
    Note
    Rear edge secures onto trunk side trim, Release front clips then rear clips.
  8. Move LH seat to original position.
  9. Fold 2nd row LH seatback down.
  10. Disconnect 2nd row LH seat connector.
    Note
    Newer models may have red locking tab.
  11. Move LH seat forward using towel bar.
    Note
    With one hand on towel bar pull up and slide the seat forward with your other hand.
  12. Remove LH seat rear outboard track fastener.
    Note
    Discard after removal.
  13. Remove LH seat rear inboard track fasteners.
    Note
    Discard after removal.
  14. Move LH seat fully rearward using towel bar.
    Note
    With one hand on towel bar pull up and slide the seat forward with your other hand.
  15. Remove LH seat outboard track cover.
    Note
    Slide covers forward to release from LH seat tracks.
  16. Remove center track cover from 2nd row seats.
    Note
    Slide covers forward to release from 2nd row seat tracks.
  17. Release cabin carpet from LH seat.
    Note
    Pull cabin carpet towards front of vehicle.
  18. Remove LH seat front inboard track fasteners.
    Note
    Discard after removal.
  19. Remove 2nd row LH seat frame front outboard track fasteners.
    Note
    Discard after removal.
  20. Remove 2nd row LH seat assembly from vehicle.
    Note
    If seat that is not being replaced does not have ISOFIX flag for child locks, the seat cover will also require replacement.

Install

  1. Install 2nd row 60 seat assembly.
  2. Connect 2nd row LH seat connector.
    Note
    Newer models may have red locking tab.
  3. Install fasteners securing LH seat frame to body.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)
    Note
    Install new patch bolts.
  4. Secure cabin carpet to LH seat.
  5. Return 2nd row LH seatback to vertical position.
    Note
    Remove seatback protection if necessary.
  6. Install LH seat outboard track cover.
  7. Install center track cover to 2nd row seats.
  8. Position LH seat into easy entry mode.
    Note
    Press shoulder switch and push LH seat forward to position into easy entry mode.
  9. Install LH lower C-pillar trim.
  10. Reseat LH rear door seal.
    Note
    Seat pillar and sill trim tabs underneath seal.
  11. Move LH seat to original position.
  12. Move RH front seat to original position.
  13. Move LH front seat to original position.
  14. Raise all four windows.

  19. Close all four doors.
    Note
    If LV is powered up then unlatch rear doors before closing.
