Remove
- Remove the rear end module. See Surround - Phone Dock - Center Console (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install).

Remove the screws (x8) that attach the armrest assembly to the center console.
NoteThe outer screws (x2) are shorter than the inner screws (x6).TipUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit
- Digital Torque Screwdriver 0.10Nm - 2.0Nm

Remove the armrest assembly from the center console assembly.

Release the clips (x17) and datums (x5) that attach the inner armrest to the armrest
assembly, and then remove the inner armrest.
NoteUse a trim tool and start from the top of the armrest to release the clips, then work towards the bottom.NoteUse caution when releasing clips, and engage the trim tool as close to the clip as possible. Discard the component if any damage occurs during removal.
Install

Align the locator datums (x5), and
then engage the clips (x17) that attach the inner armrest to the armrest assembly.
NoteEnsure all the clips (x17) are fully engaged.NoteInstall a new component if any damage is found.

Install the armrest assembly into the center console assembly.

Install the screws (x8) that attach the armrest assembly to the center console.
