Remove
- Open the RH front door and lower the RH front window.
- Move the RH front seat backward.
- On the touchscreen, touch , and use the left scroll wheel to adjust the steering column to its fully outward and fully downward position, and then touch Save.
- Disconnect the LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
- Remove the driver airbag. See Airbag - Driver (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the steering wheel. See Steering Wheel (Remove and Install).
- Remove the instrument panel upper and lower shrouds. See Instrument Panel Steering Column Shroud Lower (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the lower instrument panel assembly. See Assembly - Instrument Panel - Lower (Remove and Replace).

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
lower gap hider to the steering column.
TipUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T25 socket

Release the clips (x2) and the locator
pins (x4) that attach the lower gap hider to the upper gap hider, and then remove the
lower gap hider from the vehicle.
Install

Align the locator pins (x4), and then install the clips (x2) that attach the lower
gap hider to the upper gap hider.

Install the bolts (x2) that attach the
lower gap hider to the steering column.
2.3 Nm (1.7 lbs-ft)TipUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- Torx T25 socket
- Install the lower instrument panel assembly. See Assembly - Instrument Panel - Lower (Remove and Replace).
- Install the instrument panel upper and lower shrouds. See Instrument Panel Steering Column Shroud Lower (Remove and Replace).
- Install the steering wheel. See Steering Wheel (Remove and Install).
- Install the driver airbag. See Airbag - Driver (Remove and Replace).
- Connect the LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
- On the touchscreen, touch , and use the left scroll wheel to adjust the steering column to back to its original position.
- Move the RH front seat back to its original position.
- Raise the RH front window and close the RH front door.
