EPB Harness - Rear - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Remove

  1. Remove the LH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove 7 of the clips that attach the LH rear wheel liner to the body, and then move the wheel liner aside.
    Note
    Be careful not to damage the wheel liner.
  3. Release the red locking tab to disconnect the LH rear EPB caliper connector.
  4. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH rear EPB harness bracket to the LH rear caliper.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  5. Release the grommet and disconnect the connector to remove the LH rear EPB Harness from the rear coil damper assembly.
  6. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH rear EPB harness to the LH rear brake hose bracket.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
  7. Release the clip and the grommet that attach the LH rear EPB harness to the body.
  8. Release the yellow locking tab to disconnect the LH rear EPB harness connector, and then remove the harness.

Install

  1. Connect the LH rear EPB harness connector and engage the yellow locking tab.
  2. Install the clip and the grommet that attach the LH rear EPB harness to the body.
    Note
    Ensure the harness is routed correctly.
  3. Insert the location tab to the hole on the bracket, and then install the bolt that attaches the LH rear EPB harness to the LH rear brake hose bracket.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
  4. Install the grommet and connect the connector to install the LH rear EPB Harness to the rear coil damper assembly.
  5. Insert the location tab to the caliper, and then install the bolt that attaches the LH rear EPB harness bracket to the LH rear caliper.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  6. Connect the LH rear EPB caliper connector and engage the red locking tab.
  7. Restore the LH rear wheel liner and secure the clips (x7).
  8. Install the LH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
