Hose - Washer Tank (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  2. Disconnect the front camera washer hose.
    Note
    Unlock the black tab then separate the hose.
  3. Release the clip that attaches the front camera hose to the washer reservoir.
  4. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the washer reservoir to the front end carrier, then release the datums (x2) to move the reservoir aside.
    Note
    Be careful not to spill washer fluid from the reservoir.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  5. Place an empty container into the front storage area.
    Note
    Make sure the container is clean and not contaminated.
  6. Open the washer reservoir cap.
  7. Pour the washer fluid out of the washer reservoir.
    Note
    Be careful not to spill the washer fluid.
    Note
    Remove as much fluid as possible from the reservoir.
  8. Remove the container from the vehicle.
  9. Disconnect the washer tank hose from the windshield fluid pump.
  10. Release the harness clip from the washer reservoir.
  11. Release the clip and guide clips (x4) that attach the tank washer hose to the washer reservoir.

Replace

  1. Secure the clip and guide clips (x4) that attach the tank washer hose to the washer reservoir.
    Note
    The washer hose shall pass through the wire harness bundle.
  2. Secure the harness clip to the washer reservoir.
  3. Connect the washer tank hose to the windshield fluid pump.
  4. Align the datums (x2) to position the washer reservoir back into place, and then install the bolts (x3) that attach the washer reservoir to the front end carrier.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
    Note
    Be careful not to spill washer fluid from the reservoir.
  5. Route the hose, then fasten the clip that attaches the front camera hose to the washer reservoir.
  6. Connect the front washer hose to the washer reservoir.
    Note
    Engage the black tab to connect the hose.
  7. Fill the windshield washer reservoir with washer fluid.
  8. Close the washer reservoir cap.
  9. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
