Module - Ambient Light - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Install

  1. Install the ambient light LED modules to the tubes and engage the tabs.
    Note
    Perform the push-pull test to ensure the modules are completely fixed.
  2. Secure the LED modules to the tabs.
    Note
    Make sure not to damage the tubes.
  3. Install the instrument panel speaker grille. See Speaker Grille - Instrument Panel (Remove and Install).
  4. Install the LH and RH upper A-pillar trims. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Enable Service Mode and unlock the vehicle gateway. See 0005 - Service Modes
  6. Perform the routine using Service Mode or Toolbox: PROC_VC_X_RGB-LIGHTS-ADDRESSINGvia Service Mode:
    • Low Voltage ➜ Interior Lighting ➜ Address RGB Lights
    • Mid Voltage ➜ Interior Lighting ➜ Address RGB Lights

  7. Reinstall the vehicle firmware. See Software Reinstall - Touchscreen.
  8. Exit Service Mode.
  9. Raise both front windows and close both front doors.
