Procedure

  1. Open all doors from the exterior. Verify that the door operates normally and does not do any of the following:
    • Collide with the body or brightwork
    • Produce unusual noises such as creaks, groans, or clicks
    • Pause or fail to fully open
  2. Function check LH front door (interior)
    注
    Inspect and note functionality for the interior door release, puddle lamps, and manual release cable, From inside look for interference with other components, noises such as creaks, groans and clicks, pauses or incomplete actions
  3. Function check all windows from master switch
    注
    Document any abnormal operation/noises
  4. Function check wipers and spray jets
    注
    Ensure hood and doors are closed prior to activating wipers, Inspect and note functionality for wipers and wiper jets, Check for full range of motion, speed of motion, interference with other components, noises such as creaks, groans and clicks, pauses or incomplete actions
  5. Function check all driver controls
    注
    Shift stalk, turn signals, steering wheel scroll wheels, horns
  6. Function check steering column through UI
    注
    Move the column to its extreme position in each direction using steering wheel buttons, Return to original position
  7. Function check exterior lights. Verify that the following lights operate normally:
    • Headlights (LH and RH)
    • Fog lights (LH and RH)
    • Taillights (LH and RH)
    • Center high mount stopping light (third brake light)
    • Reverse lights (LH and RH)
    • Side repeaters (LH and RH)
    • Front turn signals (LH and RH)
    • Rear turn signals (LH and RH)
  8. Function check hazard light switch
  9. Function check LH rear door (exterior)

  12. Open hood
  13. Remove rear apron

  14. Remove fresh air gutter assembly

    3x clips
  15. Check coolant level in reservoir
  16. Check brake fluid level
  17. Fill washer reservoir with fluid
  18. Install fresh air gutter assembly

    3x clips
  19. Install rear apron
    注
    14x clips, Hold rear wall of frunk to keep from flexing while engaging front clips
  20. Close hood
  21. Raise and support vehicle
    注
    remove charging equipment
  22. Raise vehicle partially and lower lift onto locks
    注
    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, Otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
  23. Check all four tire pressures manually
    注
    4x tires, 4x caps, Set to specification if necessary, Refer to the "Tire and Loading Information" label located on the driver side B-pillar, Inspect wheels and tires for any bulges or damage while checking/setting pressures
  24. Record tread depth for LH front tire
    注
    Measure and record the outer, center, and inner tread depths, Measure the circumferential tire grooves only, Do not place the tire tread gauge probe on the molded treadwear indicators, Recommend replacement if tread depth is 4/32in (3mm) or less
  25. Record tread depth for RH front tire
    注
    Measure and record the outer, center, and inner tread depths, Measure the circumferential tire grooves only, Do not place the tire tread gauge probe on the molded treadwear indicators, Recommend replacement if tread depth is 4/32in (3mm) or less
  26. Record tread depth for LH rear tire

  28. Measure and record LH rear brake pad thickness

    Recommend replacement if 2mm or less, Check both inboard and outboard pads
  29. Inspect LH rear brake rotor condition
    注
    Check for excessive rust or wear, Minimum spec 26mm
  30. Measure and record RH rear brake pad thickness
    注
    Recommend replacement if 2 mm or less, Check both inboard and outboard pads
  31. Inspect RH rear brake rotor condition
    注
    Check for excessive rust or wear, Minimum spec 26mm
  32. Measure and record RH front brake pad thickness
    注
    Recommend replacement if 2mm or less, Check both inboard and outboard pads
  33. Inspect RH front brake rotor condition
    注
    Check for excessive rust or wear, Minimum spec 30mm
  34. Measure and record LH front brake pad thickness
    注
    Recommend replacement if 2mm or less, Check both inboard and outboard pads
  35. Inspect LH front brake rotor condition
    注
    Check for excessive rust or wear, Minimum spec 30mm
  36. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
    注
    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to the side if both locks are not engaged
  37. Remove the front aero shield. See 流线型护板 - 前底板 ((拆卸和更换)).
  38. Remove the rear aero shield. See 流线型护板 - 后底板 ((拆卸和更换)).
  39. Remove the LH and RH rear suspension covers. See 盖板 - 后悬架 - 左侧 ((拆卸和更换)).
  40. Perform visual inspection of HV battery enclosure
    注
    Check for any dents, scrapes, or other damage
  41. Inspect underside of vehicle for fluid leaks
  42. Perform inspection of steering components
    注
    Check steering gear joints, fasteners, and electrical connections, Verify components are not bent or damaged
  43. Perform inspection of front suspension components
    注
    Check conditions of ball joints and bushings, etc, Inspect for any loose fasteners, Carefully apply pressure with a pry bar as needed
  44. Perform inspection of rear suspension components
    注
    Check conditions of ball joints and bushings, etc, Inspect for any loose fasteners, Carefully apply pressure with a pry bar as needed
  45. Install the LH and RH rear suspension covers. See 盖板 - 后悬架 - 左侧 ((拆卸和更换)).
  46. Install the rear aero shield. See 流线型护板 - 后底板 ((拆卸和更换)).
  47. Install the front aero shield. See 流线型护板 - 前底板 ((拆卸和更换)).
  48. Lower vehicle until tires are touching ground
    注
    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
  49. Raise all four windows
  50. Close all four doors
  51. Perform a road test.
    1. Perform a series of ABS-active stops and ensure proper brake pedal feel and performance.
      注
      The vehicle must stop completely within 25 feet (7.6 meters) at 20 mph (32 kph), Confirm that no excessive vibration or noise is present.
    2. Check the vehicle alignment.
      注
      Confirm steering wheel is straight and no vibrations or noises are felt or heard from the suspension. On a flat road, at 35 mph (56 kph), the vehicle should not pull in either direction.
