Shroud - Upper - Steering Column (Model 3 Standard) (Remove and Replace)

  • 2025-09-05: Released new procedure.
  1. Remove the steering column lower shroud. See Shroud - Lower - Steering Column (Model 3 Standard) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the two bolts that secure the upper shroud, then remove the upper shroud from the steering column.

    • Torx T20 socket

Install

  1. Install the upper shroud to the steering column. Install and torque the two bolts.

    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)
  2. Install the steering column lower shroud. See Shroud - Lower - Steering Column (Model 3 Standard) (Remove and Replace).
