Note
This procedure requires the A/C Refrigerant (Recovery and Recharge) procedure to be performed. If not already automatically added to the Service Visit, add correction code 18200102 as a separate activity to the Service Visit.

Torque Specifications

Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the HVAC assembly. See HVAC Assembly (Remove and Replace).
  2. Disconnect the intake actuator connector.
  3. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the intake actuator to the HVAC assembly.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 4 in extension
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • 6 mm socket
    • Torx T20 bit
  4. Remove the intake actuator fixing bracket from the HVAC assembly.
  5. Remove the intake actuator from the HVAC assembly.

Install

  1. Install the intake actuator to the HVAC assembly.

    Align the guide and push the actuator to secure during installation.
  2. Install the intake actuator fixing bracket to the HVAC assembly.
  3. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the intake actuator to the HVAC assembly.
    2.3 Nm (1.7 lbs-ft)

  4. Connect the intake actuator connector.
  5. Install the HVAC assembly. See HVAC Assembly (Remove and Replace).
