Active Grille Shutter (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the cooling fan module. See Cooling Fan Module (Remove and Replace).
  2. Release the locking tabs (x14) that attach the active grille shutter to the cooling fan and shroud assembly, and then remove the active grille.

Replace

  1. Install the active grille shutter onto the cooling fan and shroud assembly, and then fasten the locking tabs that attach the shutter to the assembly.
  2. Install the cooling fan module. See Cooling Fan Module (Remove and Replace).
  3. Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes): PROC_VCFRONT_X_LOUVER-CALIBRATIONvia Toolbox:(link)
  4. Exit Service Mode or disconnect the laptop if applicable (see 0005 - Service Modes).
