 Replace

Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove and discard the nut that attaches the LH rear drop link to the LH rear stabilizer bar.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 5 mm hex
    • 15 mm combination flex head wrench
    • 15 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  3. Remove and discard the nut that attaches the LH stabilizer bar drop link to the LH rear suspension knuckle.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 5 mm hex
    • 15 mm combination flex head wrench
    • 15 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  4. Remove the LH rear drop link from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Position the LH rear drop link to the vehicle.
  2. Install and tighten a new nut (1111542-00-A) that attaches the LH stabilizer bar drop link to the LH rear suspension knuckle.
    55 Nm (40.6 lbs-ft)
    Note
    Counter-hold the ball joint with a 5 mm hex wrench.
    Note
    Mark the nut with a paint pen after installation.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 5 mm hex
    • 15 mm combination flex head wrench
    • 15 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  3. Install and tighten a new nut that attaches the LH rear drop link to the LH rear stabilizer bar.
    55 Nm (40.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 5 mm hex
    • 15 mm combination flex head wrench
    • 15 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  4. Lower the vehicle fully and remove the vehicle from the lift.
