Suspension - Backrest - Front Seat - LH (Remove and Replace)

Seat base edges are sharp and can cause personal injury. Wear cut resistant gloves when removing the seat from the vehicle, and while performing procedures that involve work on or near the seat base.

Remove

  1. Remove the driver seat headrest power lumbar assembly. See Lumbar Support - Backrest - Driver Seat (Remove and Replace).
  2. Lift and slide the ECU along the arrow direction to release the underside guide tabs (x3) to remove the lumbar ECU from the power lumbar assembly.
  3. Remove the trachea from the power lumbar assembly.
  4. Use a clip prytool to release the clips (x2) securing the suspension to the power lumbar assembly.
  5. Unhook the seat back suspension through the positioning clips (x2) to remove the seat back suspension from the power lumbar assembly.

Install

  1. Hook the seat back suspension through the positioning clips (x2) to install the seat back suspension to the power lumbar assembly.
  2. Install the clips (x2) securing the suspension to the power lumbar assembly.
  3. Slide the ECU to engage the underside guide tabs (x3) to install the lumbar ECU to the power lumbar assembly.
  4. Install the driver seat headrest power lumbar assembly. See Lumbar Support - Backrest - Driver Seat (Remove and Replace).
