Headlight - LH (ECE) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the front fascia assembly. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Replace).

    Note
    It is not necessary to remove the front fascia harness, valance and grille from the front fascia assembly.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the LH headlight.

    Note
    Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.
  3. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH headlight to the body.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Cordless hex driver
    • 10 mm magnetic deep
    • 6 in nutsetter
  4. Remove the LH headlight from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Position the LH headlight onto the body.

    CAUTION
    Do not damage the headlight during installation.
  2. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the LH headlight to the body.
    5.9 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Cordless hex driver
    • 10 mm magnetic deep
    • 6 in nutsetter
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • 6 in locking extension
    • 10 mm deep socket
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the LH headlight.
  4. Reinstall the firmware. See Software Reinstall - Touchscreen.
  5. Install the front fascia assembly. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the lift arms from below the vehicle.
  7. Adjust the headlights. Choose from:
  8. Disable Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  9. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
