Some Service Manual procedures can be performed by Mobile Service technicians in
a remote setting away from the Service Center (e.g., the customer's home or
workplace). To determine whether a Service procedure can be performed by Mobile
Service, various factors are considered, such as:
The ability to access and
service the part in a remote setting
The safety of the
customer, technician, vehicle, and parts in a remote setting
Whether the replacement
part can be safely transported in a Tesla Mobile Service vehicle
Whether the tools
required for the repair are available in a Tesla Mobile Service
vehicle
The Mobile Service Indicator, located directly above the Service procedure
correction code, defines Mobile eligibility.

Mobile Capable: this procedure can be performed
by Mobile Service
Not Mobile Capable: this procedure cannot be
performed by Mobile Service
CAUTION
The
Mobile Service Indicator in the Service Manual only states whether it's
physically possible to perform a procedure in a remote setting, however,
this Mobile Service indicator does not take into account any local
restrictions or laws. Observe all local regulations and legal requirements
in your state, country, or region to determine if Mobile Service can be
performed.
Note
The
Mobile Service Indicator takes into account the region that was selected on
service.tesla.com. To ensure the Mobile Service Indicator
provides accurate information, make sure the selected region matches the
current location of the vehicle undergoing service.
Note
For Tesla Employees:
If a Service Manual procedure does not contain a Mobile Service Indicator,
refer to the Service Center App to determine Mobile Service eligibility. If
the Mobile Service Indicator in the Service Manual conflicts with the Mobile
Service Indicator in the Service Center App, the guidance in the Service
Center App takes precedence.
