Shield - Dust - Brake - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Warning
If the vehicle has air suspension, activate "Jack" mode on the touchscreen before raising and supporting the vehicle.
Note
This procedure describes how to remove and replace the front dust shields. For instructions on how to retrofit the 2nd generation dust shields, refer to procedure 33012006 (refer to procedure).

Removal

  1. Remove the brake rotor (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the screws (x2 or x3) that secure the front brake dust shield to the knuckle (torque 8 Nm).
    Note
    Components have been removed in this graphic to aid clarity.
  3. Remove the front brake dust shield.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
