Lanyard - Third Row Seat (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Fold the seat down.
  2. Use a trim removal tool to remove the center pins from the clips that secure the backrest cover.
  3. Feed the lanyard through the backrest cover, then remove the backrest cover from the seat.
  4. Peel back the seat upholstery to access the fasteners that secure the lanyard, but do not remove the fasteners at this time.
  5. Remove the LH fastener that secures the lanyard bracket (torque 2 Nm).
  6. Loosen the RH fastener that secures the lanyard bracket (torque 2 Nm). Do not remove the fastener.
  7. Note the proper orientation of the lanyard on the bracket, then remove the lanyard from the bracket.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
