Jackshaft Assembly - Front (Remove and Replace)

Warning
If the vehicle has air suspension, activate "Jack" mode on the touchscreen before raising and supporting the vehicle.

Removal

  1. Remove the RF halfshaft assembly (refer to procedure).
  2. Release the bolts (x2) that secure the jackshaft to the drive unit (torque 30 Nm).
  3. Remove the jackshaft from the drive unit.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Fill the drive unit with the correct amounts of the proper fluids.

CAUTION
Purge any air from the cooling system.
CAUTION
Use exactly the specified amount of gear oil.
