Removal

Remove the jackshaft assembly. See Jackshaft Assembly - Front (Remove and Replace) .
Use the seal puller to remove the seal from the differential casing.

CAUTION
Take care not to damage component(s).

Installation

Note

Clean the affected areas before installation.

Install the new axle seal on the front drive unit using the output seal driver tool and a dead blow hammer.

CAUTION
Take care not to damage component(s).
Ensure that the seal is seated correctly in the differential casing.
Install the jackshaft assembly. See Jackshaft Assembly - Front (Remove and Replace) .
