Hinge - Door - Rear - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open LH front door
  2. Lower LH front window
  3. Open LH rear door
  4. Lower LH rear window
  5. Apply tape around perimeter of the hinge
    Note
    This will help with alignment during installation
  6. Support LH rear door with floor jack
    Note
    Protect painted surface with soft object
  7. Remove bolts securing LH rear door lower hinge to door assembly
    Note
    2x bolts, 13mm, 31 Nm
  8. Remove bolts securing LH rear door lower hinge to body
    Note
    2x bolts, 13mm, 52 Nm
  9. Remove LH rear door lower hinge
    Note
    May need to raise door support to create a gap between door and body

Install

  1. Install LH rear door lower hinge
    Note
    Align hinge to original position
  2. Install bolts securing LH rear door lower hinge to body
    Note
    2x bolts, 13mm, 52 Nm, Partially close door to install bolts
  3. Install bolts securing LH rear door lower hinge to door assembly
    Note
    2x bolts, 13mm, 31 Nm
  4. Remove floor jack from LH rear door
  5. Close LH rear door
  6. Close LH front door
  7. Check gap and flushness between LH rear door and surrounding components
    Note
    Measure 4x spots labeled in picture

  8. Open LH rear door
  9. Open LH front door
  10. Remove tape around perimeter of hinge
  11. Clean body side lower hinge bolts with IPA
  12. Apply touch up paint to body side lower hinge bolts
  13. Raise LH rear window
  14. Close LH rear door
  15. Raise LH front window
  16. Close LH front door
