Fuse Box - Underhood - 2nd Generation (Rework)

  • This procedure applies to later revisions of the fuse box part number 1034405 or 1094405 where the middle connector (X562) at the underside of the replacement fuse box appears to be reversed/mirrored compared to the original design of the fuse box middle connector.
  • This procedure assumes that the fuse box is already removed from the vehicle. If not, see Fusebox - Underhood - 2nd Generation (Remove and Replace) for removal instructions.

Procedure

  1. On the new (replacement) fuse box, remove the nut that attaches the 250 Amp fuse.
  2. Turn the fuse box over, and then release the wires from the underside of the fuse box housing.
  3. Disconnect the pyro fuse signal connector.
  4. Release the tabs (x6) that attach the lower fuse box housing to the fuse box.
  5. Remove the lower fuse box housing from the fuse box.
  6. Repeat the above steps on the old fuse box, and then install the lower fuse box housing of the old fuse box to the new fuse box.
  7. On the new (replacement) fuse box, connect the pyro fuse signal connector.
  8. On the new (replacement) fuse box, install the wires to the underside of the fuse box housing.
  9. On the new (replacement) fuse box, install the 250 Amp fuse and nut that attaches the fuse (torque 5 Nm).
  10. Continue to the Remove and Replace procedure for the fuse box. See Fusebox - Underhood - 2nd Generation (Remove and Replace).
