拆卸

  1. Remove the front underhood storage. See 前备箱储物单元（拆卸和更换）.
  2. Remove the air intake duct. See 风管 - 进气 ((拆卸和更换)).
  3. Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the steering column to the steering gear assembly.
    Note
    May need to turn the steering wheel slightly for better access to the bolt.
    Note
    A magnetic pickup tool can be used while removing the bolt.

  4. Remove the driver footwell duct. See 驾驶位脚部空间风管 - 仪表板 - 右驾驶 ((拆卸和更换)).
  5. Remove the lower steering column gap hider. See 间隙隐藏饰板 - 转向柱 - 下部（右驾驶） ((拆卸和更换)).
  6. Slide the electric steering column upward to remove it from the steering gear assembly.
  7. Release the steering column boot from the LH side of the bulkhead.
    Note
    Release from one point and work your way around.
  8. Apply tape to the instrument panel area around the steering column to protect it from damaging.
  9. Remove the nuts (x4) that attach the steering column to the cross-car beam.

  10. Remove the steering column upper gap hider from the steering column.
  11. Remove the steering column from the vehicle.
    Note
    Take care to avoid interfering with other parts during removal.
    1. Rotate and pull the steering column outwards till the connector is visible.
    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Continue to rotate and pull the column outwards till it is completely removed from the vehicle.

安装

  1. Install the steering column in the vehicle.
    Note
    Take care to avoid interfering with other parts during installation.
    1. Carefully rotate and install the intermediate shaft of the steering column through the opening in the instrument panel carrier.
    2. Connect the connector and continue to install the column.
    3. Install the steering column upper gap hider to the steering column.
      Note
      This step must be operated before the steering column is secured to the cross-car beam.
    4. Continue to rotate and install the column inwards till it is properly installed into the vehicle.
  2. Install the steering column upper gap hider to the steering column.
    Note
    This upper gap hider must be installed before securing the steering column to the cross car beam, otherwise it can not be installed.
  3. Install the nuts (x4) that attach the steering column to the cross-car beam.
    15 Nm (11.1 lbs-ft)

  4. Remove the tape from the instrument panel.
  5. Install the steering column boot to the LH side of the bulkhead.
    Note
    Apply pressure along seal to verify it is fully seated.
  6. Slide the electric steering column downward to install it to the steering gear assembly.
    Note
    Ensure the intermediate shaft is aligned and fully seated.
  7. Install the lower steering column gap hider. See 间隙隐藏饰板 - 转向柱 - 下部（右驾驶） ((拆卸和更换)).
  8. Install the driver footwell duct. See 驾驶位脚部空间风管 - 仪表板 - 右驾驶 ((拆卸和更换)).
  9. Install a new bolt (1111523-00-A) that attaches the steering column to the steering gear assembly.
    18 Nm (13.3 lbs-ft)
    Note
    May need to turn the steering wheel slightly for better access to the bolt.
    Note
    A magnetic pickup tool can be used while installing the bolt.

  10. Install the air intake duct. See 风管 - 进气 ((拆卸和更换)).
  11. Install the front underhood storage. See 前备箱储物单元（拆卸和更换）.
  12. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See 网关（解锁）.
  13. 通过“维护模式”或 Toolbox 执行以下例行程序（请参阅0005 - 维护模式）： PROC_STEERING_COLUMN_CALIBRATIONvia Service Mode:Chassis ➜ Steering ➜ Calibrate Steering Columnvia Toolbox:(link)
  14. Exit Service Mode. See 维护模式.
  15. Adjust the steering column back to its original position.
  16. Raise the RH front window and close the RH front door.
