1. Raise and support vehicle
   注

   Ensure vehicle is not charging, Remove charging cable if it's plugged in

   

   

   

2. Open LH front door

   

3. Lower LH front window

   

4. Open hood

   

   

5. Remove rear apron
   注

   16x trim clips, 3x datums, 2x clips

   

   

   

   

6. Remove HEPA filter assembly
   注

   2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm, Pivot rear edge up past brake reservoir then lift up to clear frunk assembly

   

   

   

   

7. Remove frunk access panel
   注

   3x clips, 3x tabs, 1x connector

   

   

8. Remove bolts securing frunk to vehicle
   注

   4x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

   

9. Remove frunk from vehicle
   注

   4x clips, 3x tabs, 2x trim clips, Replace any clips if broken or missing

   

   

   

   

10. Power off vehicle from center display
    注

    Via Controls > Safety > Power off, Select "Power Off" button at warning dialogue box

    

    

11. Disconnect LV battery and first responder loop
    注

    2x connectors, Release green locking tab, Press black tab then pull black connector lock outwards to release connection, Release red lock tab on FRL, Allow 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge

    

    

    

    

    

12. Place absorbent material underneath brake lines and brake fluid reservoir to catch any fluid lost

    

13. Clean area around brake fluid reservoir and remove brake reservoir cap

    

14. Remove brake fluid from brake reservoir
    注

    Install absorbent cloth or rag underneath brake fluid reservoir

    

15. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
    注

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of locks on both sides before lowering, Otherwise vehicle may tilt to side

    

    

16. Remove front aero shield
    注

    2x nuts, 15mm, 8 Nm

    

    

    

17. Remove RCU lower fastener
    注

    1x bolt, 10mm, 10 Nm

    

18. Lower vehicle until tires are touching ground
    注

    Raise lift off locks, Then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

    

    

    

19. Disconnect the HVIL connector from the LH shock tower, and then release the shock tower fir tree clip for that harness branch.
    
20. Tuck the HVIL harness branch between the A/C compressor pipes, as pictured.
    
21. Remove bolts securing shock tower brace to shock tower
    注

    4x bolts, 15mm, 55 Nm, 2x bolts, 62 Nm, See image for torque location

    

22. Support the LH side of the shock tower brace
    注

    1x airbag, Use assistance if needed

    

23. Place an absorbent mat under the RCU to catch any brake fluid spills when the brake lines are released in the following steps.
24. Release brake fluid reservoir return line
    注

    1x locking clip, depress the two sides and pull upwards, there will be minimal excess brake fluid that will be released

    

25. Release master cylinder secondary pipe from RCU
    注

    1x nut, 12mm, 16 Nm

    

26. Remove master cylinder primary pine from RCU
    注

    1x nut, 12mm, 16 Nm

    

27. Remove brake lines to front calipers
    注

    2x nuts, 12mm, 16 Nm

    

28. Disconnect RCU ecu
    注

    1x locking tab, 1x lever, lift locking tab up and lever down

    

29. Remove upper fastener from RCU
    注

    1x bolt, 10mm, 10 Nm

    

30. Remove RCU
    注

    2x guide datums

    

31. Install RCU
    注

    2x guide datums, hand start the upper 10mm to hold in position

    

    

32. Secure upper fastener to RCU
    注

    1x bolt, 10 mm, 10 Nm

    

33. Connect RCU ecu
    注

    Fully mount connector and lift lever up to secure, 1x locking tab

    

34. Install master cylinder pipe to RCU
    注

    1x nut, 12mm, 16 Nm

    

35. Install secondary cylinder pipe to RCU
    注

    1x nut, 12mm, 16 Nm

    

36. Install front caliper brake lines to RCU
    注

    2x nuts, 12mm, 16 Nm, Hand start first to prevent cross threading

    

37. Install brake fluid reservoir return line
    注

    1x locking tab, perform a push pull test to ensure it is fully engaged

    

38. Loosely Install bolts securing shock tower brace to shock tower
    注

    4x bolts, 15mm, 55 Nm, 2x bolts, 62 Nm, See image for torque location

    

39. Torque bolts securing shock tower brace to shock tower
    注

    4x bolts, 15mm, 55 Nm, 2x bolts, 62 Nm, See image for torque location

    

40. Connect first responder loop and LV battery
    注

    2x connectors, Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage green locking tab when fully seated

46. Loosen LH front wheel nuts

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm

    

47. Remove RH front wheel cap
    注

    1x cap, Use tool to gently pull the center wheel cap to release the clips, Wheels may be equipped with different caps

    

48. Loosen RH front wheel nuts
    注

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm

    

49. Remove LH rear wheel cap
    注

    1x cap, Use tool to gently pull center wheel cap to release clips, Wheels may be equipped with different caps

    

50. Loosen LH rear wheel nuts
    注

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm

    

51. Remove RH rear wheel cap
    注

    1x cap, Use tool to gently pull center wheel cap to release clips, Wheels may be equipped with different caps

    

52. Loosen RH rear wheel nuts

53. Raise vehicle partially and lower lift onto locks
    注

    Set vehicle to a comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side

    

    

54. Remove LH front wheel

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm

    

55. Remove RH front wheel
    注

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm

    

56. Remove LH rear wheel

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm

    

57. Remove RH rear wheel

58. Lower vehicle partially and set onto locks
    注

    Raise lift off locks, Then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height

60. Run RCU Calibrate Pedal Travel Sensor
    注

    Select Chassis > Procedures > RCU Post Replacement > Pedal Travel Sensor, click Run, follow on screen instructions to press/release brake pedal, close once routine is succeeded,

    

    

    

61. Run RCU Calibrate Pressure Sensor
    注

    Select Chassis > Procedures > RCU Post Replacement > RCU Calibrate Pressure Sensor, click Run,

    

62. Fill brake bleeder reservoir to full level

    

63. Top off brake fluid reservoir
    注

    Top off brake fluid as needed

    

64. Install pressure bleeder adapter onto reservoir

    

65. Setup brake bleeder
    注

    Connect power supply to bleeder and turn on the power to set pressure to 30 psi, Attach the brake reservoir hose to the brake adapter at this time

    

    

66. Remove LH front caliper inner bleed valve cover then install fluid catcher
    注

    1x cover

    

    

67. PLACEHOLDER, Run Manual Caliper Bleed
    注

    Select Chassis > Procedures > RCU Post Replacement >Manual Caliper Bleed

69. When the routine finishes, torque the LH front caliper bleed valve, and then remove fluid catcher.
    注

    1x bleed valve, 11mm, 18.5 Nm, 1x cover, Install cover when torqued

    

    

70. Remove RH front caliper inner bleed valve cover then install fluid catcher
    注

    1x cover

72. When the routine finishes, torque the RH front caliper bleed valve, and then remove fluid catcher.
    注

    1x bleed valve, 11mm, 18.5 Nm, 1x cover, Install cover when torqued

    

    

73. Turn off and remove pressure brake bleeder kit from vehicle

    

    

74. Check brake fluid level
    注

    Top off if necessary

    

75. Install service brake reservoir cap

    

    

76. Remove absorbent material from underneath brake booster assembly and reservoir area

    

77. Bleed Internal Circuits
    注

    Select Chassis > Procedures > RCU Post Replacement > Bleed Internal Circuit-s

    

    

78. Perform RCU Corner Stiffness Test
    注

    Select Chassis > Procedures > RCU Post Replacement > Corner Stiffness Test, click Run, follow on screen instructions

    

    

    

79. Perform RCU Valve Test
    注

    Select Chassis > Procedures > RCU Post Replacement > Valve Test, click Run, follow on screen instructions

    

    

80. Disconnect Toolbox from vehicle and remove laptop and Diagnostics Adapter Ethernet Harness
    注

    If RJ45 ethernet diagnostic connector present media converter box not required disconnect directly from laptop using an RJ45 Ethernet cable or from OBDII connection

82. Pump brake pedal a few times to ensure brake pedal feels normal

    

83. Raise vehicle partially and lower lift onto locks
    注

    Set vehicle to a comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side

    

    

84. Install LH front wheel
    注

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool

    

85. Install LH rear wheel
    注

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool

    

86. Install RH front wheel
    注

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool

    

87. Install RH rear wheel
    注

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool

    

88. Lower vehicle until tires are touching ground
    注

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

    

    

    

89. Torque LH front wheel nuts
    注

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm

    

90. Install LH front wheel cap
    注

    1x cap, Align valve stem with wheel cap cavity, Wheels may be equipped with different caps

    

91. Torque RH front wheel nuts
    注

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm

    

92. Install RH front wheel cap
    注

    1x cap, Align valve stem with wheel cap cavity, Wheels may be equipped with different caps

    

93. Torque LH rear wheel nuts
    注

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm

    

94. Install LH rear wheel cap
    注

    1x cap, Align valve stem with wheel cap cavity, Wheels may be equipped with different caps

    

95. Torque RH rear wheel nuts
    注

    5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm

    

96. Install RH rear wheel cap
    注

    1x cap, Align valve stem with wheel cap cavity, Wheels may be equipped with different caps

    

97. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
    注

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of locks on both sides before lowering, Otherwise vehicle may tilt to side

    

    

98. Install RCU lower fastener
    注

    1x bolt, 10mm, 10 Nm

    

99. Install front aero shield onto vehicle
    注

    7x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, Apply Loctite 222 onto front aero shield bolts and install fasteners to front aero shield

    

    

100. Lower vehicle fully
     注

     Raise lift off locks, Then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

     

     

     

101. Install frunk to vehicle
     注

     4x clips, 3x tabs, 2x trim clips, Replace any clips if broken or missing

     

     

     

     

102. Install bolts securing frunk to vehicle
     注

     4x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm

     

103. Install frunk access panel
     注

     3x clips, 3x tabs, 1x connector

     

     

104. Install HEPA filter assembly
     注

     2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm, Pivot forward edge down past frunk assembly, Then carefully move rear edge past brake reservoir and into position, Gently press on RH side of filter to seat seal onto duct

     

     

     

     

105. Install rear apron
     注

     16x trim clips, 3x locator pins, 2x clips, Replace any missing or damaged clips, Ensure pyrotechnic hood actuators are aligned with openings in apron

     

     

     

106. Close hood

     

     

107. Raise LH front window

     

108. Close LH front door

     

109. Remove vehicle from lift
     注

     Lower rack arms fully and remove from under vehicle

     

110. Perform a road test
     注

     Ensure proper brake pedal feel and performance Add correction code 00040100 as needed
